A 3" Thumpershrimp is a soft-plastic shrimp imitation engineered to replicate the profile, posture, and movement of a live shrimp. It features a straight, rigid shrimp body with no legs or antennae, a smooth segmented design, and a compact tail that produces a subtle thump and vibration on the retrieve. The streamlined shape allows it to skip cleanly under docks, fall naturally in the water column, and maintain a realistic horizontal glide. Built from our Xhard durable plastic, the 3" Thumpershrimp delivers lifelike action even at slow speeds, making it deadly on pressured inshore fish.
How to Use:
Rig on a 1/8–1/4 oz jig head depending on depth and current, 3/8-1/2 oz jigs for medium current and structure fishing, and 1/2-1 oz jigs at jetties and nearshore reefs.
Cast and allow it to sink naturally—most strikes occur on the initial fall
Retrieve with short hops, slow drags, or subtle twitches to mimic a fleeing shrimp
Excellent for bouncing along grass edges, oyster beds, flats, and channel drops
Ideal for redfish, speckled trout, snook, flounder, sheepshead, inshore grouper and snapper
The 3” come 5 per pack and pair up great with our HD 2/0, HD 4/0 jigheads and weedless jigheads. The 3” is the most common size shrimp found in our estuaries, deep rivers and jetties. Matching the hatch perfectly the 3” can be rigged with the HD 2/0 to create more tail thumping action, or the HD 4/0 for gliding on structures and current with a heavier hook option.
