The THUMPERSHIMP is designed with aerodynamics in mind, featuring the signature ribbed texture, eyes, and a forked fan tail. By removing the legs and antennae, we created a streamlined, gliding imitation that mimics the natural movement of shrimp in current. Through extensive research, we observed how shrimp hover and glide forward while swimming slowly, which inspired the creation of our ball-head and shrimp combo. This design allows the bait to glide through strike zones with ease, providing a natural, non-fleeing presentation that draws in fish.
While we sacrificed a few life-like features for the sake of movement, we found that the key to generating strikes was realistic action over mere appearance. To further enhance durability, we developed the XHard formulation—an ultra-dense, tear-resistant material that ensures the bait stays intact longer, even on multiple bites. This means you can fish longer without sacrificing performance, maximizing your time on the water.
